Dug up from the archives.
So today I decided to work on my blog, something I have been really bad at lately. Was rummaging through my collection of photos and found this one of a young man on a paddle board, hundreds of metres off the shore. There were storm clouds brewing behind us and the boat operators I was with warned him that he would be in serious trouble if the storm found him that far out. But the guy seemed unbothered and casually paddled further out. I guess he had a mission to fulfill 😀

A window with a view

Does it ever happen to you, this inner voice that

Does it ever happen to you, this inner voice that constantly, almost annoyingly, nags you in a new direction? That voice that keeps shouting “You are able, JUMP!” But you keep thinking ‘How the hell does this voice expect me to dump everything I have worked so hard to build, to vacate my safe space?’ You keep scraping the bottom of the drum for excuses not to submit to the challenge.

So, this inner voice takes it a step further. It starts to sabotage your day (not that your day was exactly on the right track anyway). I mean, …but how? 😭

This golden sunset over Lake Malawi is a personal reminder that as the sun dips below the horizon, so too must some of our most wonderful but now unproductive phases of life and work come to an end. Chapters have to close. Things that no longer serve us have to end. Because a new dawn always awaits. A new opportunity to positively respond to that nagging but beautiful inner voice urging you on in a new direction. Challenging you to rise up and meet the new sun.
